The President asked Wednesday if he thinks Putin wants to end the war with Ukraine, to which Trump replied, “I can’t say, but I’ll let you know in about two weeks.”

“After two weeks, we will discover whether or not he is touching us,” Trump told the Oval Office journalists during a Jeanine Pirro’s oath ceremony as the United States Interim lawyer. “And if it is, we will answer a little different.”

Trump said his special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff is “doing a phenomenal work” and “dealing with them very strongly right now.”

“It looks like they want to do something,” Trump said.

But Trump again condemned Russia’s attack, saying he is “very disappointed in what happened a couple of nights now where people were killed, in what you could call a negotiation.”

“I am very disappointed because of it,” Trump said. “Very, very disappointing.”

When asked if he was planning to sit with Putin and Zelenskyy, Trump said he would be willing.

“Well, if necessary … we have to do it, I think at this moment. I would like you to have been like this a couple of months ago, but at this time we are working with President Putin, and we will see where we are,” said Trump. “I think we are going well, but we’ll see it.”

Special envoy Keith Kellogg is preparing for possible conversations in Geneva, although it is not yet clear when they will be kept. Russia has not yet accepted the United States Peace proposal and its Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday that it was still working on its Memorandum of Terms.

Russia has suggested a possible meeting in Istabulus, Turkey.

In the meantime, the President again Wednesday said, “I don’t like what happens. It’s something I will say: I don’t like when I see the rockets shoot in the cities. This is not good. Don’t allow it.”

The president, over the weekend, exploded Putin, saying that he “kills a lot of people.”

“I don’t know what happened to Putin,” he said during the weekend. “I know a lot of time, I have always taken him with him, but he sends rockets to the cities and killing people, and I don’t like it at all.”

In a publication in Telegram, Zelenskyy requested an international response to the attack.

“The silence of America, the silence of others in the world only encourages Putin,” he wrote to Telegram. “Each terrorist Russian strike is the reason enough for the new sanctions against Russia.”

Trump expanded in his comments Sunday later, writing about the social truth that Putin “has become absolutely crazy!” At the same time he criticized Zelenskyy.

“I have always said that (putin) wants all Ukraine, not just a piece, and maybe this is proven that it is correct, but if it does, it will lead to the fall of Russia!” The publication of social networks reads. “Similarly, President Zelenskyy makes his country without any sight talking about the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I do not like it, and it is better to stop.”

“This is a war that would never have begun if I were president,” concluded Trump. “This is the war of Zelenskyy, Putin and Biden, not” Trump’s “, I only help to remove the large and ugly fires that have begun by serious incompetence and hatred.”
